E-Type register breakfast run

The JDCA had an informal E-Type register run up to the cafe at Swane’s nursery in Dural.   An informal run meaning that the cars had to be on full registration to attend – not a problem for me.  There are around 140 E-Types on the club register, so a nice variety of cars that can show up to a run.   (I think the record is around 45 for any one particular event).

Despite getting up early to get the car out, it was bucketing down near the garage this morning, so I had to attend an E-Type register run in a Lexus.    The weather was fairly isolated, so there was a nice attendance of around 10 E-Types, a couple of newer Jaguars and a MkIV 1.5 liter.    Included in the line up was the E-Type that Paul Keating mentioned he used to own – now owned by a club member and kept in immaculate condition.

It was also interesting to hear that a number of other members had performed the same upgrade to their car – adding the ‘coolcat’ fan to Series 1 E’s to better cope with the Australian climate.  This was an upgrade I did before this website existed.
