MBCNSW February 2025 night drive – Berowra Ferry
Yesterday was the MBCNSW February 2025 Night Drive. For this drive, I brought back an old favorite route – which we last used April 2023.
Our route started in Turramurra. We had a pretty good group of cars show up to the meeting point. I went in my 1981 240D, and on the drive we also had a W108 280SE 3.5, my old W116 280SE, a C126 380SEC, plus two W123s.
From the meeting point we headed north through Bobbin Head National Park. There are some great roads through the park and they are practically deserted. After Bobbin Head, we had a short stretch on the Pacific Highway, before heading down the winding roads to the Berowra Ferry. Our timing was impeccable, as the ferry was just loading as we arrived, so we could drive right on.
After the ferry, we went through the practically deserted roads around Arcadia, before we headed onto the Old Northern Road for a short stint. When we turned onto Cattai Ridge Road, we found a latecomer to our drive, so we added a C124 320CE to the convoy.
From that point we headed through Maraylya until we turned back on Pitt Town Road and ended up at Dural McDonalds. As always the route was great and the weather was excellent too.
